Designated Map for Machinary- to minimise damage to the course

Updates will be given each Monday of the Project, showing the plan for the week, photos and what has been achieved last week.

Week 1: 20th - 24th October

Plan: James Edwards (Architect) will be marking out the working areas and positions of new bunkers. Chris Poulton (Course Director), will be preparing these areas ahead of Patrick Quinn's arrival on Monday 3rd November. 

The first process will be to remove the turf, top soil and existing bunker sand from these working areas, which will give Patrick a head start on the re-shaping phase. Any top soil that is removed, will be reused at a later time. The wasted material (turf & bunker sand) will be kept in the area on the right of the 12th Hole and be shaped into the existing landscape during the project.

• Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday - 10th Hole Closed
• Thursday & Friday - 11th Hole Closed 

We aim to re-open the 10th Hole from Thursday, however, some rain is forecast in the early part of next week and may disrupt progress.

Week 2: 27th-31st October

Plan:

• Complete preparations on 11th Hole
• Reshape the Yellow/White/Red 12th Tees- A temporary tee has already been added ( photo below)
• Complete preparation for bunkers on the 12th Hole

Hole Closures:

• Monday- 11th Hole Closed
• Tuesday & Wednesday- 11th & 12th Holes Closed- However, a short Par 3 will be available from the 11th Tee to the 12th Green
• Thursday & Friday- 11th & 12th Holes Closed

Achieved Last Week:

• Bunker preparation on the 10th Hole
• Almost all bunker preparation on the 11th Hole
• Saved Top Soil to be reused when needed later in the project
